Last night we saw a guy on America’s Got Talent make a huge kinetic energy structure out of craft sticks and then set it off and we knew right then and there that we’d have to do it, too.  Did you all see him as well? 

Awesome wasn’t it?

Luckily, when I googled “stick bomb” this morning I found that he had a website and video tutorials.  Yay!! So, off we went to Target to get craft sticks.  The tutorials were very easy to follow and so we quickly built a structure and set it off.  Woo-hoo!!

Here’s our first structure.  We discovered that we need way more sticks to make ramps and stuff.  Bummer.  We’ll have to go back and get more sticks soon.

I think our next structure will combine craft sticks, dominoes, cup pyramids and other Rube Goldberg type things that will fall or snap.

Just googled and found this one that the same guy did.....ours probably won’t be this big though :)  Love the flip book part of the run.
